The «Annali dell’Istituto storico italo germanico in Trento / Jahrbuch des italienisch-deutschen historischen Instituts in Trient» were founded in 1975 as a multi-language journal. It publishes the research results obtained at the Istituto Storico Italo-Germanico (ISIG) of the Fondazione Bruno Kessler in Trento as well as articles by non-affiliated scholars on Italian and German history from the Middle Ages to the recent past in a European context. Particular emphasis is placed on the relations among Italy, Austria, and Germany. As of 2018, the "Annali / Jahrbuch" are a monographic journal, edited by one or more historians, each issue offering five to seven articles.
